Select edible oil prices recovered up to Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today on increased buying by vanaspati millers and retailers against restricted arrivals from producing regions.
Linseed oil in the non-edible section also traded higher on increased industrial offtake.
Marketmen said besides fresh buying by vanaspati millers and retailers, restricted arrivals from producing belts mainly led to the rise in select edible oil prices.
In the national capital, groundnut mill delivery (Gujarat) and mustard expeller (Dadri) oils recovered by Rs 100 and Rs 50 to Rs 7,450 and Rs 6,800 per quintal, respectively.
In the non-edible section, linseed oil found fresh buying support from paint industries and edged up by Rs 7,750 per quintal.
