In addition, strengthening rupee against the dollar that made imports cheaper, weighed on prices.
However, non-edible oils remained steady in restricted buying from consuming industries.
Traders said sluggish demand against ample supplies from producing regions mainly kept pressure on select edible oil prices.
"Besides sluggish demand, appreciating rupee that made importers cheaper also put pressure on edible oil prices", said an edible oil trader.
In the national capital, groundnut mill delivery (Gujarat) and sesame mill delivery oils fell further by Rs 100 each to Rs 7,300 and Rs 8,200 per quintal, respectively.
