Prices of select edible oils rose up to Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale oils and oilseeds market on pick-up in demand from vanaspati millers and retailers.
However, non-edible oils remained steady in thin trade.
Traders said pick up in demand from retailers mainly led to the rise in select edible oil prices.
In the national capital, groundnut mill delivery (Gujarat) oil rose by Rs 50 to Rs 8,500 per quintal.
Palmolein (rbd) and palmolein (Kandla) oils moved up by Rs 100 each to Rs 5,800 and Rs 5,650 per quintal, respectively.
