Select edible oils slide on low demand, adequate stocks

Select edible oil prices fell by up to Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today due to subdued demand against adequate stocks position on increased supplies.
However, non-edible oils held steady in thin trade.
Traders said low demand from vanaspati millers and retailers against adequate stocks position on increased supplies from producing regions, mainly attributed the fall in select edible oil prices.
In the national capital, mustard expeller (Dadri) and cottonseed mill delivery (Haryana) oils declined by Rs 100 and Rs 50 to Rs 8,350 and Rs 6,600 per quintal, respectively.
Mustard pakki and kachi ghani oils traded lower by Rs 50 each at Rs 1,300-1,345 and Rs 1,350-1,450 per tin, respectively.
Palmolein (rbd) and palmolein (Kandla) oils also shed Rs 50 each to Rs 5,650 and Rs 5,700 per quintal, respectively.

Soyabean refined mill delivery (Indore) and soyabean degum (Kandla) oils too fell by Rs 100 each to Rs 6,850 and Rs 6,550 per quintal, respectively.

Oilseeds: Mustard seed Rs 2,950-3,050 and Groundnut seed Rs 2,150-2,900. Vanaspati Ghee (15-litre tin) Rs 800-1,000.
Edible oils: Groundnut Mill Delivery (Gujarat) Rs 10,300, Groundnut Solvent Refined (per tin) Rs 1,825-1,925, Mustard expeller (Dadri) Rs 8,350, Mustard Pakki Ghani (per tin) Rs 1,300-1,345, Mustard Kachi Ghani (per tin) Rs 1,350-1,450, Sesame Mill delivery Rs 8,200, Soybean Refined Mill Delivery (Indore) Rs 6,850, Soybean Degum (Kandla) Rs 6,550, Crude Palm Oil (Ex-Kandla) Rs 4,700, Cottonseed Mill Delivery (Haryana) Rs 6,600, Palmolein (RBD) Rs 5,650, Palmolein (Kandla) Rs 5,700 and Coconut (per tin) Rs 1,950-2,000.
Non-edible oils: Linseed Rs 9,800, Castor Rs 9,800-9,900, Neem Rs 5,350-5,450.
