Meanwhile, palm oil rose 1.2 per cent to 2,236 ringgit (USD 639) a metric tonne on Malaysia Derivatives Exchange in yesterday's trade, the highest level since November 27 on likely drop in output.
Taking positive cues from overseas markets, palmolein (rbd) and palmolein (Kandla)oils advanced Rs 50 each to Rs 5,800 and Rs 5,600 per quintal, respectively. Crude palm oil (ex-kandla) edged up by Rs 50 to Rs 4,150 per quintal.

Soyabean refined mill delivery (Indore) and soyabean degum (Kandla) oils also gained Rs 100 each to Rs 6,550 and Rs 6,250 per quintal, respectively.
Coconut oil edged higher to Rs 2,550-2,600 from previous level of Rs 2,450-2,475 per tin.
