However, non-edible oils moved in a narrow range in limited deals and pegged around previous levels.
Traders said increased buying by vanaspati millers following uptick in demand from retailers against restricted supplies from producing belts mainly led to rise in select edible oil prices.
In the national capital, sesame mill delivery and cottonseed mill delivery (Haryana) oils were up by Rs 100 each to Rs 7,800 and Rs 6,450 per quintal respectively.
Coconut oil too traded higher by Rs 100 to Rs 1,650-1,700 per tin.
