Select edible oils weaken on sluggish demand

Select edible oil prices declined up to Rs 100 per quintal on wholesale market here today due to slackened demand against increased supplies.
However, non-edible oils moved in a narrow range in limited deals and settled around previous levels.
Traders said besides low demand from millers and retailers, adequate stocks position in the market mainly kept pressure on select edible oil prices.
In the national capital, sesame mill delivery oil lost Rs 100 at Rs 8,500, while crude palm oil (ex-kandla) shed Rs 50 at Rs 5,200 per quintal respectively.
Following are today's quotations per quintal:
Oilseeds: Mustardseed 2,950-3,050 and Groundnut Seed 2,150-2,900.
Vanaspati Ghee (15-litre tin) 1,060-1,290.
Edible oils: Groundnut Mill Delivery (Gujarat) 7,200, Groundnut Solvent Refined (per tin) 1,250-1,300, Mustard expeller (Dadri) 6,500, Mustard Pakki Ghani (per tin) 1,150-1,200, Mustard Kachi Ghani (per tin) 1,200-1,300, sesame mill delivery 8,500 Soybean Refined Mill Delivery (Indore) 6,800, Soyabean Degum (Kandla)6,500, Crude Palm Oil (Ex-Kandla) 5,200, Cottonseed Mill Delivery (Haryana) 6,100, Palmolein (RBD) Rs 6,000, Palmolein (Kandla) 5,800 and Coconut (per tin) 2,650-2,740.
Non-edible oils: Linseed 7,700, Castor 9,400-9,500, Neem 5,300-5,400.
