However, other grains including wheat and rice basmati traded in a narrow range on scattered buying or selling and finished at last levels.
Traders said reduced offtake by consuming industries in the face of sufficient stocks on increased supplies from producing regions kept pressure on select grain prices.
In the national capital, maize and barley moved down by Rs 20 each to Rs 1,430-1,435 and Rs 1,320-1,330 per quintal respectively.
