Select grains soften on reduced offtake

The wholesale grains market ended on weak note today with prices of select grains falling by up to Rs 20 per quintal due to reduced offtake by consuming industries.
Traders said besides reduced offtake by consuming industries, adequate stocks position on increased supplies from producing regions mainly kept pressure on select bold grain prices.
In the national capital, barley and maize declined by Rs 20 each to Rs 1,630-1,635 and Rs 1,570-1,580, while bajra eased by Rs 10 to Rs 1,320-1,325 per quintal, respectively.
