Traders said increased buying by flour mills and stockists against limited arrivals from producing belts mainly led to rise in wheat and other bold grain prices.
In the national capital, wheat dara (for mills) rose by Rs 10 to Rs 1,645-1,650 per quintal. Atta chakki delivery followed suit and traded higher by the same margin to Rs 1,650-1,655 per 90 kg.
Atta flour mills, maida and sooji were also traded higher at Rs 880-895, Rs 940-950 and Rs 980-990 against the last close of Rs 870-890, Rs 930-950 and Rs 970-990 per 50 kg, respectively, in line with a firming trend in wheat.
