Traders said besides pick up in demand from consuming industries, a firm global trend kept select base metal prices trade higher.
Meanwhile, copper for delivery in three months gained 0.9 per cent to settle at USD 4,981.50 a metric tonne at the London Metal Exchange (LME), in yesterday's trade.
In the national capital, copper mixed scrap and zinc ingot were up by Rs 2 each to Rs 366 and Rs 100,106 per kg, respectively.
Aluminium ingots, sheet cutting, wire scrap and utensils scrap too finished higher by Rs 2 each to Rs 156, Rs 152, Rs 152 and Rs 150 per kg respectively.
