Select pulses climb on stockists buying

Select pulses, led by kabuli gram and moong firmed up by Rs 200 per quintal at the wholesale pulses market today on emergence of stockists, driven by pick up in demand from retailers against restricted supplies.
Traders said increased buying by stockists against tight stocks position on fall in arrivals from producing belts mainly pushed up kabuli gram, moong and other pulses.
In the national capital, kabuli gram small variety shot up by Rs 200 to Rs 9,500-9,800 per quintal.
Moong and its dal chilka also spurted by Rs 200 each to Rs 5,300-5,500 and Rs 5,800-6,000 per quintal, respectively. Its dal dhoya local and best quality traded higher by a similar margin to Rs 6,400-6,900 and Rs 6,900-7,100 per quintal.

Masoor small and bold traded higher by Rs 100 each to Rs 4,800-4,950 and Rs 4,850-5,050 per quintal. Its dal local and best quality enquired higher by the same margin to Rs 5,200-5,700 and Rs 5,300-5,800 per quintal.
Gram, gramdal local and best quality were up by Rs 100 each to Rs 5,400-5,550, Rs 6,200-6,500 and Rs 6,600-6,700 per quintal, respectively.

In line with overall trend, urad and its dal chilka too finished higher by Rs 100 each to Rs 6,600-7,500 and Rs 6,800-6,900 per quintal. Its dal best quality and dhoya traded higher by a similar margin to Rs 6,900-7,400 and Rs 7,300-7,500 per quintal.
