Marketmen said besides easing demand from retailers at current levels, adequate stocks position on pick up in supplies kept pressure on prices.
In the national capital, urad eased to Rs 10,800-12,000 against last close of Rs 10,800- 12,400 per quintal. Its dal chilka local, best quality and dhoya were down by Rs 200 each to Rs 10,900-11,000, Rs 11,000-11,500 and Rs 11,400-11,700 per quintal, respectively.
Masoor small and bold also weakened to Rs 5,600-5,900 and Rs 5,700-6,000 from previous levels of Rs 5,850-6,100 and Rs 5,900-6,100 per quintal respectively. Its dal local and best quality lost Rs 200 each at Rs 6,200-6,700 and Rs 6,300-6,800 per quintal, respectively.
Malka local and best quality followed suit and traded lower by Rs 200 each to Rs 6,800-7,100 and Rs 6,900-7,200 per quintal.
