Marketmen said besides fall in demand from retailers at prevailing levels, adequate stocks position on increased supplies from producing regions mainly kept pressure on urad, moong and other pulses prices.
In the national capital, urad and its dal chilka local fell by Rs 200 each to Rs 10,600-11,800 and Rs 10,700-10,800 per quintal respectively. Its dal best quality and dhoya followed suit and traded lower by a similar margin to Rs 10,800-11,300 and Rs 11,200-11,500 per quintal respectively.
Gram, gramdal local and best quality too ended lower by Rs 100 each to Rs 5,700-6,200, Rs 6,000-6,300 and Rs 6,450-6,550 per quintal respectively.
