Traders said reduced offtake by stockists as demand has been easing at current levels amidst increased supplies from producing belts, continued to weigh on select pulses prices.
Recovery in the rupee from 20-month low against the dollar that will make imports cheaper also influenced the sentiment to some extent, they said.
In the national capital, urad and its dal chilka local moved down by Rs 200 each to Rs 7,500-8,000 and Rs 8,400-8,600 per quintal respectively. Its dal best quality and dhoya followed suit and enquired lower by a similar margin to Rs 8,600-9,200 and Rs 9,000-9,300 per quintal.
Gram weakened by Rs 50 to Rs 4,450-5,450 and its dal local and best quality dropped by Rs 100 each to Rs 4,900-5,100 and Rs 5,000-5,300 per quintal respectively.
