Traders said an improvement in supplies against fall in demand at existing levels helped check further rise in prices in select pulses.
Meanwhile, the government is examining the need to import more lentils to boost domestic supply even as it keeps a tab on imported pulses lying idle at ports and prices continue to rule at up to Rs 178 per kg.
In the national capital, urad and its dal chilka local fell by Rs 100 each to Rs 9,400-10,400 and Rs 10,500-10,700 per quintal, respectively. Its dal best quality and dhoya followed suit and traded lower by a similar margin at Rs 10,600-11,200 and Rs 11,000-11,400 per quintal.
Moong and its dal chilka local shed Rs 50 each at Rs 7,100-7,700 and Rs 7,700-8,100 per quintal, respectively. Its dal dhoya local and best quality traded lower by a similar margin to Rs 8,050-8,550 and Rs 8,550-8,750 per quintal.

Gram, gramdal local and best quality were too ended lower by Rs 50 each to Rs 5,250-5,700, Rs 5,450-5,750 and Rs 5,650-5,950 per quintal, respectively.
