Traders said besides fall in demand from retailers at exisiting levels, improved supplies in the market following steps taken by the government, mainly weighed on select pulses prices.
In the national capital, urad and its dal chilka local dropped by Rs 500 each to Rs 8,200-9,300 and Rs 8,400-8,500 per quintal respectively. Its dal best quality and dhoya followed suit and traded lower by a similar margin to Rs 8,500-9,000 and Rs 8,900-9,200 per quintal.
Gram, gramdal local and best quality lost Rs 400 each at Rs 8,000-8,200, Rs 8,400-8,600 and Rs 8,700-8,800 per quintal respectively.
Arhar and its dal dara variety too eased by Rs 100 each to Rs 7,000 and Rs 9,700-11,400 per quintal respectively.
