Marketmen said pickup in supplies after the government decided to increase imports of lentils and tightening of noose on hoarders pulled down the prices.
In the national capital, urad and its dal chilka local fell by Rs 100 each to Rs 7,950-8,450 and Rs 8,850-9,050 per quintal, respectively. Urad dal best quality and dhoya followed suit and eased by a similar margin to Rs 9,050-9,650 and Rs 9,450-9,750 per quintal respectively.
In line with a general weak trend, arhar and its dal variety too traded lower by Rs 150 each to Rs 7,000-7,100 and Rs 8,400-8,600 per quintal, respectively.
