Moong and other pulses firmed up at the wholesale market on increased buying by stockists following pick up in demand from retailers against tight supplies from producing belts.
In the national capital, moong and its dal chilka local rose by Rs 250 and Rs 200 to Rs 7,000-8,000 and Rs 7,900-8,400 per quintal respectively. Its dal dhoya local and best quality enquired higher by a similar margin to Rs 7,900-8,200 and Rs 8,700-8,800 per quintal respectively.
Urad and its dal chilka moved up by Rs 200 each to Rs 5,850-6,950 and Rs 7,300-7,500 per quintal. Its dal best quality and dhoya strengthened to Rs 7,500-8,100 and Rs 7,900-8,300 per quintal respectively.
Moth gained Rs 200 at Rs 5,600-5,900 per quintal.
Gram rose by Rs 50 to Rs 3,100-3,900 and its dal local and best quality traded higher by Rs 100 each to Rs 3,700-3,900 and Rs 3,800-4,100 per quintal respectively.
