Select spices decline on ample supply

Prices of copra Alapuzha and copra Kozhikode declined at the spices market here today due to improved supply amid reduced offtake from stockists and retailers.
While, copra edible continued to rise on steady demand from domestic consumers.
Black pepper, ginger and copra Rajapur maintained its stable trend in the absence of any market moving factors.
Copra office Alapuzha and copra office Kozhikode both fell by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 5,800 and Rs 5,750 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 5,900 and Rs 5,850, respectively.
Copra edible Mumbai, however moved up by Rs 50 per quintal to Rs 6,650 from Rs 6,600 previously.

Black pepper (per kg) 435/465 (435/465), ginger bleached (per kg) 175 (175), ginger unbleached (per kg) 185 (185), copra office Alapuzha (per quintal) 5,800 (5,900), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 5,750 (5,850), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 7,200 (7,200) Copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 6,650 (6,600).
