Traders said increased buying by stockists following pickup in demand against limited arrivals from producing belts mainly led to rise in select spices.
In the national capital, Jeera common and best quality advanced by Rs 200 each to Rs 16,400-16,900 and Rs 19,900-20,400 per quintal, respectively.
Coriander also moved up by a similar margin to Rs 11,400-16,400 per quintal.
Cardamom small varities like chitridar, colour robin, bold and extra bold too inched up by Rs 5 each to Rs 780-840, Rs 780-800, Rs 790-810 and Rs 920-970 per kg, respectively.
Ajwain (per kg) 150-185, black pepper (per kg) 560-740, betel-nut (kg) 300-350, cardamom brown-Jhundiwali (kg) 1,690-1,700 and cardamom brown-Kanchicut (kg) 1,800-1,900.
Cardamom small (kg): Chitridar 780-840, cardamom (colour robin) 780-800, cardamom bold 790-810, cardamom extra (bold) 920-970 and cloves 710-830.
