Select sugar mill gate prices show moderate rise

Select sugar mill gate prices improved by up to Rs 10 per quintal at the wholesale market in the national capital today following better offtake by stockists and bulk consumers for the festive season.
However, sugar spot prices remained steady on sporadic demand.
Marketmen said pick up in buying by stockists and bulk consumers such as soft-drink and ice-cream makers to meet the festive season demand, pushed up some of the sugar mill gate prices.
In the mill gate section, sugar Dorala improved by Rs 10 to Rs 3,795, while Kinnoni, Budhan and Thanabhavan edged up by Rs 5 each to Rs 3,840, Rs 3,775 and Rs 3,770 per quintal.
Sugar retail markets - Rs 39.00-43.00 per kg.
Sugar ready: M-30 Rs 3,960-4,120, S-30 Rs 3,950-4,110.
Mill delivery: M-30 Rs 3,625-3,840, S-30 Rs 3,615-3,830.
Sugar millgate (including duty): Mawana Rs N.Q., Kinnoni Rs 3,840, Asmoli Rs 3,830, Dorala Rs 3,795, Budhana Rs 3,775, Thanabhavan Rs 3,770, Dhanora Rs N.Q., Simbholi Rs N.Q, Khatuli Rs 3,825, Dhampur Rs 3,740, Ramala Rs 3,635, Anupshaher Rs 3,625, Baghpat Rs 3,655, Morna Rs 3,650, Sakoti Rs 3,750, Chandpur Rs 3,680, Nazibabad Rs 3,635, Modinagar N.Q., Shamli 3,745 and Nanota 3,635.
