Select sugar millgate prices up on new month demand

Sugar mills prices rose by Rs 10 per quintal at the wholesale sugar market in the national capital today, thanks to increased buying by stockists and bulk consumers following commencing of the new month.
Marketmen said pick up in demand from stockist and bulk consumers following beginning of new month amid tight supplies from mills, mainly pushed up sweetener prices.
Sugar mill delivery M-30 and S-30 prices traded higher at Rs 3,550-3,6540 and Rs 3,540-3,630 instead of Rs 3,540-3,640
and Rs 3,530-3,630 per quintal.
In the millgate section, sugar Budhana, Thanabhavan, Dhampur, Sakoti and Chandpur moved up by Rs 10 each to end at Rs 3,580, Rs 3,570, Rs 3,550, Rs 3,570 and Rs 3,550 per quintal respectively.
