Selection trials for Canoe Slalom on July 30th
Press Trust of India New Delhi The Indian Kayaking and Canoeing Association (IKCA) is organising selection trials of men and women for Canoe Slalom, an Olympic event, on July 30th at Lower lake, Bhopal.
Canoe Slalom have four gold medals in Olympic and Asian games. This is played in white water of III or IV stage running water.
The Indian Team is trained at lower Lake Bhopal for the upcoming Asian Games 2014 in South korea and SAI has appointed a German Coach of Slalom on July 3rd.
IKCA and SAI are aiming to get few medals in White Water canoe Slaom in Asian championships and World Championships in 2015, qualify for 2016 Olympic and get a few medals in 2019 Asian games and 2020 Olympics.
The IKCA invited athletes both men and women from Services, Navy, Indian police, BSF, CRPF, ITBP, J &K, Coast Guard, SSB and all Police departments, SAI Centers, Schools, Colleges, Universities to participate and be a part of Canoe Slaom mission Olympic.
