Minister of state for school education Fauzia Khan highlighted the inconvenience faced by students in getting the attestation of certificates done by gazetted officers, after which the government gave the consent to the proposal, an official told PTI.
A note issued by the general administration department to the Additional Chief Secretary (school education) said the minister had proposed that the self-attested certificates should be treated valid during admission process.
The admission should be granted only after verifying the original certificates, it said, adding, the suggestion has been accepted by Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan.
