Seminar on imbibing essence of Gita in daily life tomorrow

The Divine India Youth Association (DIYA), a group aiming to channelise youth potential towards nation building, would hold its annual seminar on the theme 'Gita in Day to Day Life' here tomorrow.
The seminar will be addressed by key-note speakers working is different walks of life like Dr Pranav Pandya, Sister Shivani from Brahmakumaris, Swamini Vimlananda from the Chinmaya Mission and noted writer and lyricist Prasoon Joshi, a statement issued by the association said.
Nearly 2,500 participants from Mumbai and other places are expected to attend and benefit from the seminar, it said.
Since 2006, DIYA Mumbai has been conducting an annual seminar in Mumbai on various topics like excellence in corporate culture, human excellence, scientific spirituality, women empowerment, etc.
"The perennial teachings of the Bhagwad Gita can help an individual change his/her perspective towards life. It can help one unravel the mysteries of life and apply its teachings in day to day life for a stress-free and quality life," said a senior volunteer of the association.
DIYA conducts an array of activities of social and national importance, including cleanliness drives in rural and urban areas, cleaning of rivers, de-addiction drives, massive tree-plantations, educational initiatives, disaster management, and workshops on yoga and fitness, she said.
