The Shiv Sena today approached police against Goa Mahila Congress chief Pratima Coutinho and others accusing them of "disclosing" the identity of a 17-year-old girl who is allegedly a victim of molestation.
A similar complaint was filed yesterday against Coutinho by an NGO.
In her complaint submitted with the women police station, Sena's Goa unit vice-president Rakhi Prabhudesai Naik accused Coutinho, South District Head of Mahila Congress Savitri Kavlekar, Netravali village panchayat Deputy Sarpanch Abhijit Desai and panch members Prakash Bhagat and Vitthal Gaonkar of revealing the identity of the teenage girl.
Naik sought prosecution of Coutinho and others under POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act, IPC, and Scheduled Caste and Schedule Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities Act), 1989, claiming that the victim girl belonged to a Scheduled Tribe.
Naik stated that Coutinho and others had visited the house of the victim last week and put up her pictures on social media along with her family members.
Coutinho had also revealed the name of the mother of the victim, Naik stated.

"She (Naik) has demanded that Coutinho and others be booked under Section 23 of the POCSO Act which prohibits disclosure of name, address, photograph, family details, school, neighbourhood etc. of a victim of sexual attack," an official said.
A Women Police Station officer said they are examining the complaints filed by the NGO and the Sena.
In its complaint, Savera, a state-based NGO, had also stated that Coutinho had, earlier, presented to the media another victim of sexual abuse at a press conference the latter had held.
