Shiv Sena MLA Harshvardhan Jadhav today resigned from the Assembly, saying he was unhappy with the pace of developmental work in his constituency in Marathwada region.
Jadhav, who represents Kannad seat, sent his resignation letter to Assembly Speaker Haribhau Bagade, who has confirmed receipt of the same.
"A decision on the letter would be taken as per rules. If needed we will call Jadhav and ask if he wants to reconsider his decision," Bagde told PTI.
Jadhav said he had informed Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis two months ago about the dismal pace of development works in his constituency.

The blockade still continued.
CPI(M) MLA from Basirhat North Rafiqul Islam claimed that the clash took place between two factions of the ruling party.
