Yadav was arrested when he was waiting for his squad member to join him last night, said Deputy Superintendent of Police, Hiralal Ravi.
Ravi said the Maoist operative, a resident of Kawal village under the Nawadiha Bazar police station of the district was wanted for over a dozen Maoist-related cases including blowing up of mobile towers and others pending in Palamau and adjoining Aurangabad districts of Bihar.
A country-made revolver, five live cartridges, a mobile phone, six sim cards of different companies were seized from him, he said adding Yadav has disclosed vital information about the outfit's activities and name and address of 31 Maoists operating in the districts.
