To a question and supplementary questions of BJP MLAs, Home Minister G C Kataria said that till now the Circle Officer, Additional SP or SP of ACB used to investigate the cases lodged against IAS/IPS and now there was a need to review it.
Hence, the state government would ensure that IO senior than IAS or IPS rank should probe such cases.
Kataria said eighteen cases were lodged against IAS officers in the last five years (2010-2014), of which FR (Final Report) was put on five cases, ten were pending, challan were filed in two cases, and remaining one was awaiting technical clearance.
BJP MLAs Sukhram Vishnoi, Nirmal Kumar and Independent MLA M C Surana echoed their voices against the IAS and IPS officers' individual cases running in the ACB.

On another question by BJP MLA Mohan Lal Gupta, Energy Minister Pushpendra Singh assured the House that there was no corruption in purchase of CFL bulbs by the previous Congress government.
The previous government had purchased 1.28 lakh CFL bulbs at a cost of Rs 160 per piece.
