Senior journalist attacked in Bhopal

A senior journalist working with a local daily was severely assaulted last night near Subhash Nagar railway crossing causing him grievous injuries, a police official said today.
The journalist, Manoj Verma was attacked by nearly four persons fracturing his both hands and also with injuries on his head.
He was rushed to a government hospital in the night from where he was shifted to private Narmada Hospital for treatment, Deputy Inspector General (DIG), Bhopal D Sriniwas Verma said.
"We are working on the leads and will arrest those behind the attack soon," he said.
The journalist also did not suspect any personal enmity behind the incident, the DIG said adding further investigations were on.
