Over 700 players from 24 states and 16 institutions would be seen in action during the tournament, being hosted by Tamil Nadu Carrom Association (TNCA).
A number of leading players, including the current men's world champion Prasanth More and former winners, including Yogesh Pardeshi (Maharashtra) and R M Shankara (Indian Airlines) would be seen in action, said a press release here.
Leading Tamil Nadu's challenge in the men's event would be B Radhakrishnan, D Kubendra Babu, R Tharanikuma, S Ganesan and V Mahimairaj.
The following events would held: Men's team championship (Inter-State & Inter-Institutional),women's team championship (Inter-State & Inter-Institutional), men's singles, women's singles, men's and women's veteran singles.
The winners in the men's and women's singles categories would receive Rs one lakh cash prize each.
