The 30-share index resumed higher at 25,856.13 and hovered in a range of 25,998.00 and 25,769.81 before quoting 26045.36, a rise of 203.44 points or 0.79 per cent.
The index had risen by 359.40 points in the last session.

Major BSE gainers were GAIL (8.03 pc), Wipro (2.77 pc), M&M (2.21 pc), Dr Reddy's (2.03 pc), TCS (1.72 pc), Hero Moto Corp (1.34 pc), (Maruti (1.25 pc) and Bajaj Auto (1.13 pc).
