The benchmark BSE Sensex today recovered nearly 76 points in early trade, poised to snap its four-day losing streak, on emergence of buying by funds at existing lower levels.
The 30-share barometer, which had lost 390 points in the previous four sessions, recovered by 75.73, or 0.36 per cent to 20,863.03.
Stocks of consumer durable, capital goods, banking and healthcare sectors led the recovery.
On similar lines, the National Stock Exchange index Nifty moved up by 21.65 points, or 0.35 per cent, to 6,213.10.
Brokers said emergence of buying by funds at existing lower levels mainly influenced the sentiment.
