Stating this after inaugurating a mobile voters service Centre at the Collectorate here, he said it would visit all eight constituencies to help public verify their names in the voters list.
Dr S Prabakar, District Collector and District Election Officer explained the efforts taken by the administration to educate voters on the need to exercise their franchise on May 16 and ensure cent per cent polling.
He also said Kathirimalai, a tribal settlement in Burgur forest in the district is a remote area which could not be reached quickly for want of proper vehicular traffic.
There are 119 voters in the area which comes under Anthiyur Assembly Constituency. So a separate polling station would be started for them on polling day to help them exercise their franchise without any disturbance and hardship.
