Congress leader PL Punia today alleged that the separatists had become active in Jammu and Kashmir after the Mufti Mohammad Sayeed government took charge and accused the chief minister of having good relations with them.
"Ever since the PDP government came to power, separatists have become active in Jammu and Kashmir... Chief minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed has good relations with separatists", Punia said while talking to newspersons at the circuit house here.
"There have been over 800 incidents of border violation and firing since the PDP government came to power whereas during the UPA government some 70-80 cases were registered," he claimed.
Soon after the PDP government was formed, Pakistani flags and those of dreaded terrorist groups were waved in the Valley, Punia said.
Targeting Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal over the recent revelations of huge electricity bills at his official residence, he said that the person who has 35 ACs in his house cannot be a common man.
"The people of Delhi have been fooled... Instead of cheap water, the water has gone missing for many...," he said.
Punia, also the Chairman of National Commission for Scheduled Castes, was here after meeting the Dalit rape victim in neighbouring Badaun.
Alleging that police and doctors were trying to save the culprits, the NCSC chairman assured that the state government would be asked to provide proper compensation to the rape victim.
Punia also attacked the Uttar Pradesh government saying there was "jungle-raj" in the state.
