BCCI President N Srinivasan should resign from his office on moral grounds in view of the ongoing spot fixing scandal, the apex sports body of armed forces which is also a member of the Cricket Board, said today.
The Services Sports Control Board (SSCB) is a tri-services body and has a vote in the 31-member BCCI.
"As there is conflict of interest in this BCCI inquiry, BCCI President should tender his resignation on moral grounds, pending the outcome of the inquiry," SSCB President Air Marshal H B Rajaram said here.
Air Marshal Rajaram is the Air Officer (Administration) in the Air headquarters here and is the in-charge of the tri-services sports body.
Srinivasan is drawing flak from all quarters for not stepping down while his son-in-law and Chennai Super Kings Team Principal Gurunath Meiyappan has been arrested for alleged involvement in betting.
The Services' stand on the issue is on the lines of the Sports Ministry, which recently stated that the BCCI President should resign from his office, pending inquiry.
