Sesame mill oil weakens in thin trade
Press Trust of India New Delhi In restricted activity, sesame oil prices fell by Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today on lack of buying support from vanaspati millers against adequate stocks position.
However, other edible and non-edible oils moved in a narrow range on little doing and settled around previous levels.
Traders said adequate stocks availability against lack of buying support from vanaspati millers mainly kept pressure on sesame oil prices.
In the national capital, sesame mill delivery oil drifted by Rs 100 to Rs 7,900 per quintal.
Following are today's quotations (in Rs per quintal):
Oilseeds: Mustard seed Rs 2,950-3,050 and Groundnut seed Rs 2,150-2,900. Vanaspati Ghee (15-litre tin) Rs 850-1,065.
Edible oils: Groundnut Mill Delivery (Gujarat) Rs 8,900, Groundnut Solvent Refined (per tin) Rs 1,675-1,725, Mustard expeller (Dadri) Rs 7,600, Mustard Pakki Ghani (per tin) Rs 1,300-1,350, Mustard Kachi Ghani (per tin) Rs 1,350-1,450,sesame mill delivery Rs 7,900, Soyabean Refined Mill Delivery (Indore) Rs 6,400, Soyabean Degum (Kandla) Rs 6,100, Crude Palm Oil (Ex-Kandla) Rs 4,150, Cottonseed Mill Delivery (Haryana) Rs 5,700, Palmolein (RBD) Rs 5,200, Palmolein (Kandla) Rs 5,100 and Coconut (per tin) Rs 2,050-2,100.
