In a statement here, LDF convenor Vaikom Viswan said the state government had not made any demand to the Centre while other state governments had raised their demands much earlier.
The state had received a good deal when the previous UPA government, supported by the Left, was in office. The promise of a 'peninsular zone' to the state was yet to become a reality, he said.
The proposals for setting up a wagon factory in Cherthala and a coach factory in Palakkad was yet to materialise, he said and demanded that the Congress-led UDF government exert pressure on the Centre on these issues.
