Seven 3 Sports bags digital, mobile rights for French Open

Seven 3 Sports, a sports rights company, today said it has inked a pact with NEO Sports, for the digital and mobile rights license of the prestigious Grand Slam for the Indian Sub-Continent.
NEO Sports is the official broadcaster of French Open in the Indian Sub-Continent.
"Sports enthusiasts will now get a chance to catch all the action from the court while on the move by simply accessing the You Tube channel of Seven 3 Sports or the Mobile app by DigiVive," it said in a statement.
This is the second consecutive year that the company will deliver the French Open Sports content live across various screens to consumers viewing video content and live updates on their smartphones.
According to the fourth Deloitte's TMT predictions for India, in 2014, the number of smartphone users in urban India will cross 104 million in 2014.
Further, smartphone users are expected to drive the highest video consumption on mobile. It is anticipated that 50-60 per cent of all the mobile data consumption in India will be led back by video and usage of apps over the next 2-3 years.

The French Open started on May 26 and will be played till June 9. The tournament has drawn the world's top tennis players, including Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, Maria Sharapova and more.
"We are very excited to partner with Neo Sports to relay the premier tennis action from Roland Garros through the mobile and Internet devices in India and bring people closer to the prestigious French Open on the move - on the go," Seven 3 Sports Founder and CEO Jatin Ahluwalia said.
Seven 3 Sports has rights to events like Indian Premier League and FIFA 2014 World Cup Qualifiers.
