"Some more persons are also involved in the gruesome murder. Efforts are on to nab them," said Inspector In-Charge of Mohana police station Prasant Bhupati.
The arrest of the seven persons was made yestarday after deceased Tibatia Mallick's wife Sabitri had lodged a complaint with police on Wednesday.
Police said the accused had dragged Mallick from his house on Monday night and beaten him to death. After killing him, they set his body on fire in the nearby Parabadi hill top the same night.
