Seven children drown in separate incidents in Bihar

Seven children have drowned in separate incidents in Bihar, police said today.
In Sitamarhi district, four girls today drowned in a tank in Kachchvachi village, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) M N Upadhyaya said.
The victims have been identified as Rafat Khatun (16), Khurshida Khatun (13), Rani Khatun (10) and Nikhat Khatun (16), the DSP said.
All bodies were fished out by local divers and sent for post-mortem, Upadhyaya said.
In another incident, three children drowned in a tank at Mirzapur village in Gopalganj district, police said.
The three children, identified as Atual Kumar (9), Vikas Kumar (7) and Raj Hussain (7) drowned in a tank while immersing Lord Vishwakarma's idol last night, Superintendent of Police (SP) Anil Kumar Singh said.
The bodies were fished out and handed over to the families for performing last rites, the SP said.
