Vice Chancellor of the Kerala Agricultural University, Dr P Rajendran told newsmen here today that the event was being organized jointly by the Union Ministry of Agriculture and Co-operation, State Government and the various Agricultural Universities of South India besides the KAU.
The main objective of the Expo would be to disseminate knowledge about modern and scientific methods agricultural operations and inventions made by various Agricultural Universities and other institutions for the benefit of farmers for improving production and productivity, he said.
Over 50 technologies, appropriate for commercial production, invented through research by the different Agricultural Universities, would displayed before the farmers, he said.The Chief Minister, Oommen Chandy would be inaugurating the event, Rajendran said.
