Seven judicial officers get new postings in Uttar Pradesh

According to a notification dated August 16, 2012, issued by the High Court's Registrar General Virendra Kumar Srivastava, Presiding Officer of Debts Recovery Tribunal at Lucknow Umesh Chandra Srivastava has been made Officer on Special Duty of a new court in Shamli district created vide a Government Order dated 13.08.2012.

Similarly, Vijay Laxmi, Additional District and Sessions Judge of Kanpur Nagar, has been made OSD of a new court in Sambhal while Ashok Kumar Tiwari, Additional District and Sessions Judge of Hardoi has been appointed as OSD of a new court at Hapur.

The new courts at both Sambhal and Hapur were created vide the same Government Order whereby the new court at Shamli had come into being.

It may be added that Shamli, Sambhal and Hapur had been rechristened as Prabuddha Nagar, Bheem Nagar and Panchsheel Nagar by the previous BSP government in the state but their original names were restored by the current Samajwadi Party regime last month.

Other than the aforesaid judicial officers, those who have been given new postings include Shri Prakash, an Additional District and Sessions Judge of Kanpur Nagar, who swaps the post with Rekha Dixit, an Additional District and Sessions Judge in the same district who also held the additional charge of Special Judge of a special court set up under the UP Essential Commodities Act.

Similarly, Ramesh Kumar Tripathi, the Additional District and Sessions Judge of Kanpur Nagar with the additional charge of Special Judge of special court set up under Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities Act), swaps the post with Alakh Narain, an Additional District and Sessions Judge in the same court.
