With seven more persons succumbing to H1N1 virus infection, the number of deaths due to swine flu has gone up to 382 since January this year.
"Seven people died of swine flu today in the state, while 67 new people tested positive for the disease," a state health department statement said.
Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Sabarkantha, Gandhinagar, Bhavnagar, Patan and Arvalli districts recorded one death each.
"With 67 new cases, the total number of swine flu positive cases from January this year has reached 6,099," the statement said.
It also said 5,154 people have been cured and discharged from hospitals across the state.
Unseasonal rains, which lashed some parts of the state in the last 24 hours, are likely to increase the spread of the disease, officials said.
