Seven of family killed in road mishap

Seven persons of a family were killed and eight others injured, three of them seriously, when a jeep collided with a bus on Khandwa-Baroda national highway today, police said. The mishap occurred near Kasarbavdi, about 6 km from here, this morning when the victims were going to Badwani in the jeep to attend a family function, police said. While four -- Chhaganlal, Kalabai, Kanshiram and Poonamchand -- died on the spot, three others Suman, Neeta and Rajesh died on their way to hospital. The injured were admitted in a hospital at Indore, police said, adding further investigations are on.
