The five-member team - Shailee Basnet, Asha Kumari Singh, Pema Diki Sherpa, Nimdoma Sherpa and Maya Gurung - were felicitated by Lions Club International here on Thursday evening.
Two others - Chunu Shrestha and Pujan Acharya - could not make it due to personal reasons.
Barring Asha Kumari Singh, all other members have scaled seven summits across the continents.
Singh will be scaling the last summit (Antartica) soon.
Hailing from diverse ethnic backgrounds, the team had different success stories, which they shared with the women and students of the steel city while narrating the challenges, struggle and financial hardship they had faced.
Shailee Basnet said, "Human-trafficking is a scar, unacceptable and deplorable and this problem is being faced equally by Nepal and India".
Basnet a journalist for seven years in Kathmandu before taking up the adventurous sports, said.
