Seven suspected Naxals held in Chhattisgarh

Seven suspected Naxals, one of them carrying reward on his head, were today arrested from two separate places of Chhattisgarh's insurgency-hit Sukma district.
While six cadres were nabbed from the forests of Chintagufa police station area, another was apprehended from Chintalnar police station limits, Sukma Additional Superintendent of Police Santosh Singh told PTI.
A composite squad of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), its elite wing CoBRA (Commando Battalion for Resolute Action), District Reserve Group (DRG) and district force was carrying out a search operation in the interiors of Chintagufa, located around 500 kms away from here, the ASP said.
While they were cordoning of Temelwada forests- a Naxal hotbed, they rounded up six suspects who admitted to their involvement with the outlawed Naxal movement during interrogation, he said.
Those arrested were - Madkam Dewa (25), Madvi Hunga (22), Madkam Pojja (24), Gonche Hunga (22), Pdam Lakkha (26) and Madkam Rama, all lower rung members of the banned outfit.
In another incident, a rebel identified as Kunjami Ayta (25), who was carrying a reward of Rs 2,000 was arrested from Chintalnar village, he said.
They all were allegedly involved in incidents of murder and torching vehicle engaged in road construction works in the region, the officer said.
