Seven-year-old girl falls to death in school

A seven-year-old girl student died after she allegedly fell down from third floor of her school here today, police said.
The deceased is identified as Mateti Mounasree, a class II student of Balajyothi high school at Kashibugga area here, they said.
"Mounasree arrived late in school and was crying. She was allowed in the class after repeated pleas of her father Narsimhulu," police said quoting school staff.
Police said Mounasree excused herself to wash room and did not return.
"As she did not return, her class teacher started looking for her. Meanwhile, the school staff found Mounasree lying on the ground in a pool of blood," a police officer said.

Mounasree was rushed to a hospital where doctors declared her dead before admission.

The death of the child triggered protests from her kin and some students' unions who tried to lay siege to the school. However, the situation was brought under control by Intezargunj police.
A case has been registered against management of the school.
Meanwhile, Mounasree's body was handed over to her family members after postmortem.
