The incident took place yesterday when some members of the Jat community asked some Dalit labourers to work in their agricultural fields, they said.
However, the labourers refused to work on the current rate of Rs 150 per month and demanded a hike of Rs 50 on the same.
Later, an enraged verbal duel between them turned into a violent clash, in which several people were injured, who were later admitted to hospital in serious condition, police said.
Eleven people have been arrested in this connection so far and security has been tightened in the village to prevent any untoward incident.
